United States President Donald Trump has announced the changes about MLK Day and released that there are two Federal holidays in 2026. The US government has removed Martin Luther King Jr. and Juneteenth from the National Park Service’s List of free admission days. On the birthdate of Trump, the citizens can enjoy the park entries for fee-free on 14th June 2026. The MLK Days are referred to as the federal holidays and the post offices, banks will be closed.  For knowing more details about the holidays, the citizens must wait for the official announcements.

President Donald Trump made some changes in some selected holidays which are MLK day, Juneteenth holidays and their birthday. The national parks will be open these days also but they can charge the fees as per government’s instructions. The entry fees will be removed from these days to the National Parks and the government has changed the calendar also in the upcoming days. 

The US government has removed the fees from the National Parks Services on the selected days which are MLK day, Juneteenth holidays and birthday of Donald Trump. Donald Trump’s birthday is also a Flag Day which is not the Federal holiday so it is also added in the calendar. The changes are also reported to every US citizen, they can know the details about the holidays.

This year, MLK Day will start on the 19th January 2026 and this MLK day is known as the federal holiday. According to the officials, President Ronald Reagan signed the bill for creating or removing the holidays in the calendars of the US in 1983. By these rules, any government in the US can change the designation according to them. Trump released these benefits details last year for changing these executive orders which are known as federal holidays in the US.
