Human history has always been shaped by the struggle for power, dominance, and control. Throughout every era, powerful nations have sought to enslave weaker ones, seize their resources, demolish their cultures and civilizations, and, ultimately, erase their existence. The web of wars, conspiracies, treaties, and revolts spun across the ages is often masked by rhetoric of ideology, peace missions, or humanitarian concern. Yet behind this veil lies an unquenchable thirst for power, a scramble for territory, and the ruthless politics of self-interest.
A glance at the current global landscape reveals that this political and military game of deception has grown more systematic, lethal, and far-reaching than ever before. From the Middle East to Eastern Europe, from Africa to South Asia no region enjoys true peace. Every part of the world is grappling with conflict, political instability, or economic decline. And in the heart of these crises lie the same handful of dominant powers, interfering directly or indirectly to secure their geopolitical and economic objectives.
In this 21st century an era where humans have reached the moon and Mars humanity on Earth still faces extreme insecurity, the threat of war, economic inequality, and political exploitation. Terms such as “human rights,” “democracy,” “rule of law,” and “freedom” have been reduced to tools that serve the agendas of the powerful. Where their interests lie, governments are overthrown in the name of democratic restoration; where profit beckons, even the most brutal dictatorships are rebranded as “governments of reconciliation.”
The present-day plight of Palestine is a stark example of this diabolical game. Despite the martyrdom of thousands of innocent Palestinian children, women, and civilians in Gaza, the global community remains silent an alarming testament to a world that now speaks the language of self-interest rather than conscience. Institutions like the United Nations have been reduced to issuing symbolic resolutions, while global powers justify Israel’s blatant aggression as its “right to defend.” But what kind of defense is this, where schools, hospitals, mosques, and humanitarian shelters are bombed? Have even the corpses of children become mere fuel for global politics?
This is not just the story of Palestine. Syrian soil remains soaked in blood. Iraq, once a beacon of Arab intellect and culture, lies shattered by war. Afghanistan served as a laboratory for two decades under the guise of fighting terrorism first against al-Qaeda, then the Taliban, then ISIS. Millions perished, and yet peace remains elusive. Countries like Yemen, Libya, and Sudan are embroiled in civil strife. The common thread among them? Direct or indirect intervention by global powers, and a heavy price paid by innocent people.
The Russia Ukraine war stands as one of the most significant geopolitical crises in recent years. But even here, the actual players are those operating behind the curtain. The narrative of inducting Ukraine into NATO, the encirclement of Russia, and then fanning the flames of war all served Western and American interests. While Europe now grapples with inflation, energy shortages, and a refugee influx, the U.S. profits through arms sales, energy exports, and strategic supremacy. In the process, Ukraine’s innocent population has been turned into cannon fodder.
On the other side, to curb China’s rising economic power, the U.S. and its allies have been persistently stoking tensions in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the South China Sea. China’s growing economic influence is perceived as a threat to Western dominance. Hence, through propaganda, sanctions, diplomatic pressure, and military maneuvers, efforts are being made to contain it. This is the same malicious pattern global powers follow against any nation that dares to challenge their hegemony.
The condition of the Muslim world is especially distressing. Organizations like the OIC have become toothless. Countries like Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, and Saudi Arabia are plagued by internal political instability, economic fragility, and external pressure. Pakistan, despite bearing the brunt of the war on terror, received nothing in return but instability, FATF blackmail, and IMF-imposed subjugation. Iran faces sanctions, Israeli threats, and internal unrest. Turkey is entangled in political divisions, Syrian refugee crises, and economic turbulence. Saudi Arabia, though undertaking reforms, lacks a clear regional strategy.
In this context, one must ask: when, where, and how will this diabolical game end? Are institutions like the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, or other global bodies capable of halting this vicious cycle? Will the collective conscience of humanity ever awaken? Will people begin to question their governments? Or will this game continue endlessly, while oppressed nations and their generations are buried in dust?
The answers may be complex but they are not unattainable.
To end this nefarious game, global institutions must be made truly independent, empowered, and impartial. The United Nations must undergo structural reforms so that powerful nations are no longer permitted to wield veto power as a weapon of oppression. Strict global restrictions must be placed on arms production and sales, with human welfare becoming the focal point. Developing countries must awaken. Self-sufficiency in education, technology, defense, diplomacy, and economy is the only viable path forward. As long as we hinge our survival on the will of others, we will remain pawns in their game.
Mass awareness must be cultivated. The media plays a pivotal role if journalism begins to speak truthfully, if educational institutions foster critical thinking rather than just hand out degrees, if religious leaders preach peace, tolerance, and humanity, and if politicians prioritize service over power, the world can truly change.
Today, the world does not merely need economic and military power it urgently needs moral leadership. Leadership that transcends religion, race, and ethnicity. Leadership that dares to call out injustice. Leadership that chooses peace over war. Leadership that values humanity over profit. Until such leadership arises, this satanic game will continue sometimes in the form of Israel, sometimes in the guise of NATO, and sometimes through the tyranny of financial institutions.
Yet, the truth remains: after every darkness, there is light. For every Pharaoh, a Moses eventually rises. Every oppressive system ultimately reaches its demise. What is needed now is for us to recognize our collective strength, awaken from complacency, and unite. If we remain mere spectators, history will not forgive us. But if we dare to speak against tyranny even with the weakest of voices this world can, and will, change.
