Beijing (Agencies): China has announced a visa-free entry policy for travelers from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, allowing them to stay for up to 30 days without a visa. The policy, set to begin on June 9, 2025, will remain in effect until June 8, 2026, as part of a one-year trial2.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning confirmed the initiative during a press briefing, stating that passport holders from these Gulf nations can visit China for business, sightseeing, family visits, exchanges, and transit.
With this move, China now grants visa-free access to all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, having previously implemented reciprocal agreements with the UAE and Qatar since 2018.
Saudi Arabia and China continue to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties, with Vision 2030 aiming to attract 5 million Chinese tourists annually by the end of the decade. The Kingdom remains China’s largest trading partner in the Gulf, further solidifying their strategic relationship.
