Gaza City, Gaza (Agencies): Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, has accused Israel of using unrecognized and devastating weapons in its airstrikes on Gaza. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Dr. Al-Bursh claimed that these weapons produce terrifying sounds and vaporize individuals within a 200-300 meter radius.
Dr. Al-Bursh’s statements have raised serious concerns about the types of weapons being deployed in the conflict. He emphasized the urgent need for an international investigation into the matter, highlighting the severe impact on civilians and infrastructure in Gaza.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has called for global attention to the issue, urging international bodies to examine the weapons used by Israel and their effects on the population. This accusation comes amid ongoing tensions and violence in the region, with both sides suffering significant casualties.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has also called for an international investigation into Israel’s potential use of thermal weapons in Gaza, citing testimonies of bodies melting or evaporating after bombings since October 2023. The report raised concerns over the use of weapons like “vacuum bombs,” which are known for producing intense heat.
Dr. Al-Bursh stated that in the northern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces are using unknown weapons that result in the evaporation of bodies, preventing local authorities from obtaining information about the full scale of the destruction. The Ministry of Health has called for an urgent international investigation into the types of weapons being used by Israel and their effect on civilians.
