Tel Aviv (Agencies): In a significant development, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has announced that its pilot, Hadar Labunker, played a crucial role in a recent airstrike that resulted in the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
The operation, which took place in Beirut, targeted Hezbollah’s underground headquarters in the southern suburbs of the city.
The strike, carried out with precision bunker-busting bombs, also eliminated several other top commanders of the terror group.
Labunker is being hailed as the hero of the day for his pivotal role in this mission, which marks a major shift in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
The ammunition used in this operation included American-made 5,000-pound (2,300 kg) bunker buster bombs.
These bombs are designed to penetrate fortified underground facilities, making them ideal for targeting Hezbollah’s subterranean headquarters.
The strike was executed by the Israeli Air Force’s 119th “Bat” Squadron, using F-16i aircraft known as “Sufa” (Storm).
