TRIPOLI (Agencies): The Libyan State Funds Recovery Office has successfully ended negotiations to retrieve the Libyan C-130 cargo plane, which had been detained in Malaysia for more than eight years.

The office explained that its team engaged in talks with the US State Department to lift sanctions on the plane, which was seized while undergoing maintenance abroad.

The step is part of a larger plan to recover other Libyan aircraft and ships abroad, the office noted.
