The officials of NASA have confirmed the news of sending NASA To Send Astronauts back to Moon For 1st Time In 53 Years. The Astronauts will be returned beyond low earth orbit for the first time since 1972 through the mission of Artemis II. The Artemis II Mission is scheduled to launch on 6th February 2026 which carried four crew members with the journey of 10 days around the moon. The details of the astronauts back to the moon will be available by NASA in the upcoming days.ย ย

NASA To Send Astronauts back to Moonย 

NASA will be launching their new mission Artemis II from the Kennedy Space Centre, Florida which is powered by the Space Launch System Rocket. This mission does not include the Lunar landing testing but a critical test of spacecraft, rocket and life support systems before the Artemis III missions. NASA will release this mission in the year of 2027 so the interested parties can wait for the official dates for announcements.ย 

NASA revealed the details about the launching of Artemis II which will be open from the 31st January to 14th February 2026 and the backup dates are 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th February 2026. This mission will be delayed so the launching dates will be rescheduled for the month of March and April 2026. This mission will be started after knowing the positions of orbits, rocket performance and weather conditions etc.ย

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has included the crew which are Ried Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, Jeremy Hansen. The primary reason for starting this mission is to ensure all the functions, systems and other properties on the moon. These spacecraft teams will be using the Lunar Flyby to know the moonโ€™s gravity from the earth. Through these missions, they are able to know full details and functions of the machines while reducing the risks.ย 

After succeeding this mission, NASA will set the stage of the Artemis III mission for new lunar programs which are designed to land astronauts on the moonโ€™s surface. NASA has not provided any details about the mission of Artemis III missions but the official date will be announced soon in the upcoming days.
