Islamabad (Khyber Mail): The ‘Overseas Chinese Association Pakistan’ hosted a ceremony in Islamabad on September 25, 2024, to mark 75 years of the People’s Republic of China’s establishment. The event saw prominent representatives from both countries, honoring the historic milestone and discussing the enduring relationship between Pakistan and China.
The event was attended by Shi Yuanqiang Minister of Chinese Embassy Pakistan, Member National Assembly Danial Chaudhry, Ambassador of China to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong and La Jielian, President of Overseas Chinese Association Pakistan.
Shi Yuanqiang, Minister of Chinese Embassy Pakistan stated that through the 75 years of continuous endeavors Chinese nation stood strong. On its foundation the People’s Republic of China faced several challenges. Mao Zaidong, the key figure behind the 1949 Revolution of China explained that China did not possess capacity to build tractor at the time but the nation showed capability and determination to advance,. says press note.
It is not surprising that 75 years later Chinese enterprises produce more than half of the world electric vehicles offering most cost effecting options. Additionally, joint ventures with Pakistan has allowed to produce electric vehicles to contribute to Pakistan’s green development. China has been leading global trade in electric vehicles.
China has managed to lift 70 million rural people out of poverty. The improvement of social security system, medical health and education has contributed to reduction of poverty. China GDP increased of 5% in H1, first half of the year. China concluded the 3rd plenary session where of Communist Party of China made strategic arrangement for deepening reforms and for Chinese modernization. ‘This will greatly benefit our iron brother Pakistan.’ Shi Yuanqiang explained.
China wants to build community with share future that is universally beneficial and entertains inclusive civilization. The China Pakistan friendship is deep rooted and long standing with a strategic partnership. The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan attended embassy event on China’s National Day this year. CPEC has furthered deepened this relationship through economic and social development in Pakistan.
On this occasion, Danial Chaudhry, Member National Assembly evaluated that Pakistan’s relationship with China is well recognized in the world. He further said that it is privilege to me to speak about the strong relationship of both countries that has grown stronger. Our friendship is sweeter than honey, deeper than ocean and higher than mountains.
Furthermore, he noted that it reflects depth of trust and understanding between two nations and the way they have stood alongside each other. Pakistan and China has shared over 7 decades of partnership, mutual respect and cooperation. The partnership is about the people, the cultural and social rights of them. In times of need, China has stood with Pakistan and similarly Pakistan has been consistent friend to China. Shanghai Cooperation Organization, SCO will open more doors for business and we will grow together.
The event included vibrant displays of Chinese culture, with performances of Peking Opera, Tibetan dance, and traditional Chinese dance, emphasizing the country’s enduring commitment to its cultural heritage and values.
