Malakand (Khyber Mail): Abdul Khaliq, an MPhil scholar from the Department of Mathematics, University of Malakand, has successfully defended his thesis titled “Modelling the Transmission Dynamics and Optimal Control Strategies for HIV Infection.” His research, supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad and co-supervised by Dr. Nigar Ali, was lauded for its depth and application in understanding HIV infection dynamics.

The external examiner, Dr. Zeeshan, Associate Professor at Bacha Khan University Charsadda, praised Abdul Khaliq’s exceptional analytical skills and innovative approach. The thesis highlights optimal control strategies, offering valuable insights into combating HIV transmission.
