The All Pakistan Universities BPS Teachers Association (APUBTA) delegation comprised of Dr. Sami ur Rahman, Dr.  Hafsa Jamshed and Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad yesterday had a meeting with Dr Nisar Ahmad Chema, member of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee at Parliament House, Islamabad. 

The president APUBTA explained the bad consequences of the dual and discriminatory policies for teachers of the public sector universities. The respected member of the standing committee showed great support for the BPS community and said shall discuss the matter with the Chairman HEC to resolve the longstanding issues of the universities’ BPS Teachers.

He further added that we are quite worried about the matter and is regularly being discussed in consecutive meetings of the standing committee. He further added that the Chairman HEC has admitted that it is a genuine issue, and he is working on its resolution.
