The Executive Director Dr Shaista Sohail, Dy Director Muner, Director Dr Amjad, Mr Nasir Shah,  and Mr Sana Ullah Memon also attended the meeting in capacity of the HEC.

The president presented issues of BPS faculty through recent available data of the HEC. The Chairman HEC very heartedly admitted the problems and issues of the BPS community and told that he shall work out for redressing the challenging issues of seniority, promotion, and financial differences among the two groups of university teachers.

He further told that he shall soon introduce a single uniform structure for university teachers in the future as a long-term solution. The president KP chapter requested immediate and short-term relief to support the deprived community. In response to this, the Chairman requested the APUBTA team for two options of a short and long-term solution for onward consideration of the relevant forums. The chairman narrated that he agreed in principle with APUBTA for the promotion of the BPS teachers and shall honestly help to have the approval of the same very soon. The president APUBTA appreciated for acknowledging the longstanding issues of BPS community and the positive approach of the chairman for a quick remedy and a sound solution.

The Chairman further added that one country with two systems has indeed ruined the system that can’t run for more, so a wise U-turn along with a short-term solution to give relief to the BPS teachers is indeed required, which he shall support on every forum. He further said that he has served the HEC for more than 13 years and knows how to address issues and seek reasonable solutions to these issues.  He added that the policy of promotion shall create a working environment in universities and shall help to improve the standards of higher education and quality research.
