Islamabad (Khyber Mail): A high-level Bangladeshi defense delegation, led by Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad, where they met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

During the meeting, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasized the importance of enhancing military ties between the two nations, particularly through joint training initiatives and exchange programs. Both sides agreed to explore further avenues for collaboration, reflecting a shared commitment to bolstering defense partnerships.

Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan praised the Pakistan Air Force’s cutting-edge technological advancements and innovative projects under its current leadership. He expressed particular interest in the indigenously developed JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, a testament to Pakistan’s progress in military hardware production.

The meeting underscores the mutual dedication of Bangladesh and Pakistan to fostering stronger military relations and exploring new opportunities for cooperation. It marks a step toward strengthening ties between the two nations’ armed forces in pursuit of shared defense objectives.
