PESHAWAR: Chairman E Hujra Muhammad Asif Qureshi on Friday strongly criticized the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for banning the University of Lakki Marwat from offering new admissions.

In a statement issued here, Mr Qureshi said that Lakki Marwat University is a public sector university and not an individual property to be stopped from working. He demanded a fair inquiry to bring those who are responsible for bringing this high seat of learning into this position. Moreover, Mr. Qureshi appealed to the HEC Islamabad and HED KP to review the decision in the best interest of thousands of students wishing to study at Lakki Marwat University in the future.

It is worth mentioning here that HEC has issued a public alert on its website banning future admissions and affiliation with the University of Lakki Marwat. (PR)
