Peshawar (Khyber Mail): The 41st meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BOASAR) at UET Peshawar was held today under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Ali. During the meeting, the minutes of the 40th BOASAR meeting were approved, and plans to start new postgraduate academic programs in emerging fields were given the green light.

Prof. Dr. Farid Ullah Khan, Secretary BOASAR, presented various agenda items, which included initiating a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, a Master’s in Polymer Science and Engineering, and an MBA starting from the next academic session. The Vice Chancellor emphasized the need to maintain the institution’s commitment to education excellence and financial sustainability, citing the successful execution of programs launched last year. He directed the team to meet the criteria set by PEC and HEC while proposing the programs, and to submit them for approval in the upcoming Academic Council meeting.

The meeting was attended by notable figures including Prof. Dr. Syed Waqar Shah, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Prof. Dr. Rizwan M. Gul, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical, Chemical, and Industrial Engineering; Prof. Dr. Bashir Alam, Dean of the Faculty of Civil, Agricultural, and Mining Engineering; Prof. Dr. Amjad Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Humanities, and Allied Sciences; Dr. Taza Gul, Director of the Directorate General of Science Technology and Information Technology, KP; Mr. Haroon Khan, Controller of Examination; and other senior faculty members and administrative officers.
