Team Eco-EduTech from Daharki, Sindh, emerged as the national champions with their eco-friendly and inclusive business idea of using waste materials to create learning tools for children with disabilities. Their initiative underscored the potential of creativity and inclusion in solving real-world problems.

The event, organized in collaboration with King’s Trust International and SEED Ventures, featured five regional finalist teams, each presenting inspiring business solutions:

  • Peshawar: Green Sprout Farm – maximizing agricultural yields while minimizing water and space usage.
  • Multan: Paws on Wheels – delivering professional pet healthcare services at customers’ doorsteps.
  • Quetta: Nutribites – nutrient-packed gummies as an alternative to traditional pills.
  • Islamabad: Aqua Wave – a portable water purifier for instant access to clean drinking water.

Prizes were awarded for innovation, climate impact, financial viability, and societal contribution.

The King’s Trust Global Young Achiever Award Asia 2024 was presented to Mahnoor, who impressed with her sustainable business idea of using fly larvae and food waste to produce organic chicken feed and powdered chitosan.

British High Commissioner Jane Marriott praised the participants, saying, “Meeting these extraordinary young finalists and hearing their innovative ideas has left me energized and hopeful for 2025. They are a true credit to Pakistan and an inspiration for the future.”

Mahnoor reflected on the experience, stating, “Enterprise Challenge Pakistan taught me how to establish and run a socially responsible business. It provided me with both commercial insights and an ethical perspective, helping us see how our work can benefit society.”

Since its inception, the Enterprise Challenge programme has engaged over 8,000 young people, including more than 1,700 participants this year, with 31% of the schools represented coming from the public sector through collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training.

This year’s competition highlighted the transformative power of young minds to create solutions for pressing challenges and pave the way for a sustainable, inclusive future.
