Islamabad (Agencies): Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong met with Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Zardari House in Islamabad on Tuesday afternoon. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations, social and cultural cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.
Former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar was also present during the discussions. The meeting comes at a time when both countries are looking to strengthen their strategic partnership and explore new avenues for collaboration.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong emphasized the importance of deepening ties between China and Pakistan, particularly in the areas of trade, culture, and education. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his gratitude for China’s continued support and highlighted the need for further cooperation to address regional challenges and promote mutual prosperity.
The meeting also touched upon recent developments in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the potential for expanding its scope to include more projects that benefit both nations. Both sides reiterated their commitment to working closely together to achieve shared goals and enhance the well-being of their peoples.
