Muzaffarabad (Khyber Mail): As part of its ongoing academic outreach, the Center for International Strategic Studies AJK (CISS AJK) held an engagement session at Government Boys Middle School Kakrool, focusing on geopolitical awareness and the Kashmir dispute.
The session commenced with Headmaster Abid Iqbal, who provided a historical overview of the Kashmir issue. He emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for the cause, referring to Kashmir as the “jugular vein” of Pakistan and highlighting its strategic significance.
Tayyaba Khurshid, Research Officer at CISS AJK, delved into Jammu and Kashmir’s status as an internationally recognized disputed territory. She discussed unilateral and illegal measures being undertaken to alter its special status, warning of demographic changes aimed at undermining Kashmiri identity.
Khurshid stressed the importance of educating the youth on regional and global geopolitics. She encouraged students to stay informed and actively contribute to the discourse surrounding Kashmir, reinforcing the role of young voices in shaping national and international narratives.
The session reflected CISS AJK’s commitment to fostering critical thinking and awareness among students in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, empowering them to understand and engage in broader geopolitical discussions.
