Peshawar (Khyber Mail): The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar has officially opened its new Day Care Center, inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaiser Ali. During the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the university’s dedication to supporting female faculty and administrative staff, emphasizing that providing facilities for them is a top priority.
The Day Care Center is designed to offer supervision and care for the children of working mothers at the university, allowing them to concentrate on their duties more effectively. This initiative marks a significant step towards fostering a supportive work environment for female staff.
Prof. Dr. Qaiser Ali commended the efforts of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, the focal person of the center, Engr. Hamna Shakeel, the in-charge of the Day Care Center, and Director Works, Sardar Muhammad Asghar, for their hard work in establishing the center swiftly.
The inauguration was attended by several notable figures, including Prof. Dr. Hamid Ullah, Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Afzal Khan, Provost, Prof. Dr. Misbah Ullah, Advisor Finance, and other senior faculty members and administrative officers.
