Dera Ismail Khan (Khyber Mail): On the special instructions of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shakeeb Ullah, the Directorate of Students Affairs (DSA) organized a prestigious ceremony at Quaid-e-Azam Campus to commemorate Defense Day. The event was graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr. Naimat Ullah Babar, as the chief guest.
The ceremony was attended by deans of all departments, administrative officers, and heads of various departments at Quaid-e-Azam Campus. The event was organized by Director of Students Affairs Dr. Nafid Khan and his team. Students delivered speeches and presented patriotic songs in honor of Defense Day.
In his address, the chief guest, Professor Dr. Naimat Ullah Babar, highlighted the significance of September 6, 1965, when India attacked Pakistan under the cover of darkness. He praised the brave soldiers of Pakistan who defended the nation with their blood, thwarting the enemy’s nefarious intentions. He also commended Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shakeeb Ullah and Registrar Zahir Shah for their guidance in organizing the event and congratulated Dr. Nafid Khan and his team for arranging such a well-organized program in a short time.
Coordinator of Quaid-e-Azam Campus Dr. Allah Noor, Chief Proctor Dr. Aziz Javed, and others, in their joint address, emphasized that September 6 is a day of renewal of commitment. They pledged to uphold the honor and dignity of all national institutions, just as the armed forces sacrificed their lives for the country’s defense.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest, Professor Dr. Naimat Ullah Babar, and Director Dr. Nafid Khan distributed honorary certificates among the students.
