KARACHI (Khyber Mail): In a significant move towards sustainability, DHA City Karachi, with the support of the Sindh Government, has launched an Electric Bus (EV Bus) service, starting operations from May 23, 2024.
This initiative aims to provide a comfortable and affordable commuting option for residents of nearby Goths and industrial areas, as well as those heading towards Downtown.
The initial phase will see two EV Buses in operation, departing daily at 9 am and 10 am respectively.
The buses will follow a designated route starting from Sohrab Goth and ending at DHA City Karachi, with stops at Al Asif Square, Jamali Bridge, Maymar Mor, New Sabzi Mandi, Baqai University, Karachi Toll Plaza, Dumba Goth, Bheria Town Karachi, and Kathore.
The number of buses will be increased based on the success and ridership of the initial launch.
The introduction of the EV bus service underscores DHA City Karachi’s commitment to enhancing liveability and environmental responsibility by adopting sustainable practices.
