ISLAMABAD (Agencies): Dr. Qibla Ayaz, the former Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology, has been appointed as an ad-hoc member of the Supreme Court’s Shariat Appellate Bench.
This appointment marks a notable moment as Dr. Ayaz brings his extensive experience in Islamic law to the highest level of the judiciary.
He is set to serve on the bench for a tenure of three years, where his expertise is expected to contribute significantly to the cases pertaining to Islamic jurisprudence.
The legal community and observers anticipate that his presence will enhance the bench’s capacity to interpret and apply Shariat laws within the framework of Pakistan’s constitution.
