Islamabad (Agencies): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Academy, in collaboration with the British High Commission, successfully concluded a Forensic Awareness Course aimed at enhancing the forensic skills of FIA officers. The course, held from February 11 to February 20, 2025, was attended by 60 officers across four training batches.

The two-day intensive training program equipped participants with the skills to collect, preserve, and analyze forensic evidence from crime scenes. Attendees included officials from various ranks, such as Assistant Directors, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and Head Constables.

Expert instructors from the British High Commission led the sessions, offering practical, hands-on training and sharing insights from their extensive forensic experience. Participants lauded the trainers for their expertise and the practical relevance of the course content.

A concluding ceremony was held at the FIA Academy on February 20, 2025, where Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Matt Cannel and Additional Director General (North) Mr. Munir Masood Marath addressed the participants and distributed certificates to the trainees. Director Training Mr. Ehsan Manzoor and Deputy Director Training Mr. Rab Nawaz also attended the event, underscoring the importance of such collaborative initiatives in strengthening investigative capabilities.

The successful completion of the course reflects a growing partnership between Pakistan and the United Kingdom in advancing forensic practices and improving law enforcement expertise.
