The Federal Investigations Agency (FIA) cybercrime wing has initiated a chain of Training and seminars for academia. In these training the FIA is targeting to minimize cybercrime rate through awareness of masses regarding Cybercrimes laws, digital forensic processes and appropriate cybersecurity measures. 

In this connection a Seminar was arranged, for the faculty and students of Computer Science and Software Engineering, at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar on June 3rd, 2022. Mr. Muhammad Akram Mughal, Deputy Director Network Security FIA Cybercrime Wing Peshawar and Mr. Fahad Durrani, Assistant Dir, Investigations, FIA, Peshawar conducted the seminar. Mr. Akram educated the audience on different technical aspects of Cyber security relevant to Academia and students’ while Mr. Fahad Durrani presented on the “Cybercrimes and counter measures” as well as educated the participants on the “Illustrations of technical terms in national cybercrimes laws” in Pakistan.

Later Prof. Dr. Usman Ghani, Joint Director, IMSciences gave the concluding remarks and highlighted the importance of curbing of the cyber vandalism and the role of the importance of the agencies and technical knowledge to stop this vandalism.
