Peshawar (Khyber Mail): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, has declined the approval for the appointment of a sixth advisor to the provincial cabinet. This decision is based on the constitutional provision that restricts the Chief Minister from appointing more than five advisors.
According to Article 130, Clause (11) of the Constitution, the Chief Minister is limited to appointing a maximum of five advisors. Governor Kundi emphasized this point in his remarks on the summary submitted for the new appointment.
The Governor has signed and returned the summary, effectively rejecting the proposed appointment. This move underscores the importance of adhering to constitutional limits and maintaining the prescribed structure of the provincial cabinet.
