Gwadar (Agencies): A high-level Chinese delegation, led by Wang Fukang from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, visited Gwadar today. The delegation toured the South Free Zone and Gwadar Port, engaging in discussions with officials from the Gwadar Port Authority.
During the visit, the delegation held a meeting to discuss the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase 2 project. The Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority emphasized the critical role of the CPEC in the success of Gwadar Port, highlighting the importance of industrial cooperation at this juncture.
The Chairman noted that the implementation of major projects with Chinese cooperation is expected to spark an economic revolution in the region, creating employment and business opportunities for the people of Balochistan.
The Chinese delegation expressed appreciation and satisfaction with the ongoing initiatives, providing strong assurance of their continued support. These efforts are anticipated to significantly enhance Pakistan’s capacity to meet future challenges.
