KARAK (Khyber Mail): Keeping its traditions alive, Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak (KKKUK) celebrated the 77th National Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The flag hoisting and cake cutting ceremony was performed by Registrar Dr. Ghani Ur Rehman at the university. The National Anthem was also played on this occasion. A large number of faculty, administrative staff, and students were present at the event.
Registrar Dr. Ghani Ur Rehman emphasized the importance of protecting and wisely using national assets, stating, “Pakistan is our identity and it’s a day to fulfill our commitments to this motherland.” He further stressed the need for character building among the new generation, highlighting that a nation without ethical values cannot truly value its independence. He encouraged young students to use their fullest capacity for the progress of the country, urging them to learn from the past while moving forward for a better and prosperous Pakistan.
Later, Dr. Ghani Ur Rehman also kicked off the monsoon tree plantation drive in the presence of faculty and students at the old campus of the university. He appreciated the efforts of the Provost, faculty members, students, and program organizers for making the event successful.
