The diamond jubilee independence celebrations were held at the main campus of the university of Malakand. The Chief Guest, Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof Rashid Ahmad graced the occasion.

Professors, guests, students, and kids also attended the celebrations. The celebrations started with Flag hoisting and the National anthem. After that, the chief guest expressed his views regarding independence and explained the importance of Azadi. He added that this day demands unity hard work, enthusiasm, and patriotism. He prayed for the sovereignty and prosperity of the beloved country and presented his salute to all martyrs of the beloved nuclear country.

A cake cutting ceremony was also held and sweets were distributed among kids. After that, the kid’s competition of various activities was held and prizes of gifts and cash were distributed among the kid’s winners for quizzing, running, cycling and musical chair, and national songs. In the evening Azadi March on campus was also arranged for kids, and a large number of rickshaws and pickups participated in Azadi March.
