Islamabad (Khyber Mail): Brigadier General Hojjatullah Qureshi, Deputy Minister of Defence & Armed Forces Logistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran, called on Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami, at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both officials discussed matters of mutual interest, focusing on enhancing bilateral defense cooperation, regional security, and maritime collaboration. They emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the two neighboring countries to address common security challenges and promote stability in the region.
Vice Admiral Bilgrami highlighted the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Iran, noting the shared interests in maintaining peace and security in the maritime domain. Brigadier General Qureshi expressed Iran’s commitment to deepening defense ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation, including joint training exercises and intelligence sharing.
