Mohmand (Khyber Mail) — July 3, 2025: Construction of the first-ever Jawan Markaz (Youth Center) in the merged district of Mohmand is nearing completion and is expected to be formally handed over to the Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa next week. The landmark facility, designed to serve as a hub for youth development, marks a major milestone in the province’s efforts to uplift communities affected by conflict and underdevelopment.

Final preparations are underway for the installation of essential equipment and furnishings across the center’s key sections. These include a 112-seat auditorium/youth jirga hall with advanced sound and projection systems, a fully equipped IT lab featuring 10 Core i-series computers, a co-working space, a career counseling room, a furnished waiting area, a functional incubation center, and a complete indoor gymnasium.

According to Dr. Nauman Mujahid, Director Youth Affairs KP, the center will become fully operational by July 25, 2025, offering a wide range of services to local youth. “This initiative is a reflection of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur’s vision to establish inclusive youth centers across the province,” he stated.

The project has received consistent support from Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhar Jihan, whose involvement has been instrumental in accelerating its completion. The center is located at the Shaheed Roohullah Sports Complex and is expected to serve as a model for future youth facilities in other merged districts
