PESHAWAR (Khyber Mail): In a significant event at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Justice Dr. Syed Muhammad Anwer unveiled his latest book, Al Muhallab: The First Standard-Bearer of Islam in the Region of Pakistan. The book delves into the life of the esteemed Muslim general Al-Muhallab Ibn Abi Sufra, highlighting his pivotal role in introducing Islam to the region of present-day Pakistan in 664 AD, a full 45 years before Muhammad Bin Qasim’s renowned invasion.
Dr. Anwer’s work sheds light on Al-Muhallab’s strategic military prowess, including his defeat of the Kharijite Fitnah and his innovative use of non-kinetic warfare, underscoring the general’s enduring relevance.
Appointed as an Aalim Judge in the Federal Shariat Court in 2023, Dr. Anwer is a distinguished legal scholar with extensive expertise in Islamic education, history, and international relations. His contributions to the Council of Islamic Ideology and various legal roles have cemented his reputation in both legal and academic circles.
