Peshawar (Khyber Mail): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (KP-HCIP) organized an event to celebrate International Child Day at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar. The event saw participation from students of various schools, with former squash champion Qamar Zaman as the guest of honor.

The primary aim of the event was to raise awareness about the fundamental rights of every child, irrespective of race or color, to education and protection. The program featured a variety of colorful performances, highlighting the importance of education, awareness about sexual harassment, and how to respond to such situations. The role of parents and teachers in these matters was also emphasized.

The event concluded with the national anthem. Speaking to the media afterward, the guest of honor and other participants stressed the importance of such programs in raising awareness among children and other segments of society. The efforts of KP-HCIP in organizing the event were highly praised.

At the end of the event, Saadia Khan from KP-HCIP presented a shield to the guest of honor, Qamar Zaman.
