PESHAWAR (Staff Report): Four days capacity building workshop was conducted in district Khyber from 16th May to 19th May 2023, where 26 businessmen from clearing and forwarding businesses cluster have successfully completed their training course.

The workshop was organized by Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC) and Empowerment thru Creative Integration (ECI). The purpose of the training was to enhance the capacity and business management skills of clearing & forwarding businesses in the area.

Based on the diagnostic study and training need assessment, 500 individuals from selected business clusters in districts Peshawar and Khyber are being trained in business management skills, under the capacity building program.

The training was followed by a certificate distribution ceremony. The ceremony was graced by Imran Zahoor, Project Director, KPEC. He appreciated the activity and highlighted the importance of business management skills in business growth and sustainability.

Different stakeholders participated in the certificate distribution ceremony including KP Board of Investment, FBR Turkham, Pak- Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce, KP commercial importers & exporters, Mohmand Chamber of Commerce, and the Khyber Chamber of Commerce. Moreover, the participants also include an association of clearing and forwarding businesses and representatives of other business clusters in the region.
