PESHAWAR, Sep 08 (APP): The Local Government Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has made at least one recreational park in every district including in merged districts mandatory to facilitate the locals.

Official sources from the Local Government Department said on Thursday that a development project worth 1.70 billion had been approved for establishment of recreational parks in every KP district.

It said apart from a mega park in provincial metropolis, one park each will be established in every district including the merged districts.

The districts that already had such recreational parks were excluded from the project while all other districts were included for the provision of the facility. In every proposed district, a suitable place for establishment of the park would be selected.

The sources said that all tribal districts including Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Orakzai, Kurram, North and South Waziristan would have a park in its district headquarters.

The LG Department had proposed the project amounting to 1.70 billion which was approved by the provincial government.
