Peshawar (Khyber Mail): In a significant move to enhance emergency healthcare services, MOL Pakistan has donated fully equipped ambulances to the District Administrations of Karak and Kohat, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The handover ceremony took place at the Peshawar Secretariat, where a representative from MOL Pakistan formally presented the vehicles to Muhammad Abid Majeed, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home and Tribal Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The event included messages from MOL Pakistan’s leadership emphasizing the importance of the donation and the company’s dedication to community welfare.
In a statement read on behalf of Zsombor Marton, Global Head of Exploration & Production at MOL Group, he noted that the initiative aims to address healthcare challenges in the region while fostering stronger relationships with local communities. “This gesture of goodwill aims to improve healthcare facilities and contribute to the well-being of the people in Karak and Kohat,” Marton’s message read.
Adam László, Chief Executive Officer of MOL Pakistan, also highlighted the company’s role in social development alongside its core business activities. “Our presence in Pakistan is defined not only by energy exploration but also by the partnerships we build with communities. We are honored to support the provincial administration in strengthening emergency healthcare services in Karak and Kohat and to contribute to the region’s development in a meaningful way,” László stated.
Expressing gratitude for the donation, Muhammad Abid Majeed praised MOL Pakistan’s continued corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, stating that the ambulances would significantly improve emergency medical evacuation services. “The availability of modern ambulances will enhance the capability of local hospitals to provide critical emergency medical assistance, potentially saving precious lives within the community,” he said.
MOL Pakistan, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hungary-based MOL Group, has been a key player in Pakistan’s energy sector since 1999. The company operates the TAL and Margalla Blocks and holds working interests in several key exploration sites. It has consistently contributed to Pakistan’s socio-economic development through various community-driven initiatives, including healthcare, education, and infrastructure projects.
