Peshawar (Khyber Mail): The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar has announced the appointment of three new deans following a notification from the Higher Education Archives and Library Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, approved by the Honorable Governor/Chancellor.

  • Prof. Dr. Rizwan Mahmood Gul has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical, Chemical, and Industrial Engineering (MCI). Dr. Gul completed his Master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, and has been a professor at UET Peshawar since 2008.
  • Prof. Dr. Bashir Alam will serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Civil, Agricultural, and Mining Engineering (CAM). Dr. Alam earned his Master’s in Civil Engineering from UET Peshawar and his Ph.D. from George Washington University, USA. He has been a professor at UET Peshawar since 2013.
  • Prof. Dr. Amjad Ali has been named the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Allied Sciences, and Humanities (AASH). Dr. Ali holds a Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Peshawar and an MS/MPhil and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), Swabi. He has been a professor at UET Peshawar since 2013.

These appointments are for a period of three years or until their retirement.

The university community looks forward to their leadership and contributions in their respective faculties.
