Jehangira (Khyber Mail): In a significant move toward sustainable energy, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Industries, Abdul Karim Tordher, inaugurated a 5KV solar energy system at the Government Technical and Vocational Center, Jehangira, on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

The solarization project, executed through a collaborative effort between UNISA, Master Foods Shedu, and the Institute Management Committee (IMC) of the center, aims to enhance the learning environment by providing clean and uninterrupted energy.

Speaking at the event, Tordher commended UNISA and Master Foods for their dedicated support in installing the solar system, praising their commitment to community development and sustainability.

“Our goal is to ensure a well-equipped and enabling learning environment for our youth, empowering them with practical skills to contribute to the prosperity and economic stability of both themselves and the province,” said Tordher.

He further emphasized plans to coordinate with government departments to expand solarization efforts across the center.

While addressing the upcoming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget, Mr. Tordher assured that significant relief measures for the industrial sector would be introduced to stimulate investment and growth.

The event was attended by Engineer Khizar Hayat (Principal, Technical and Vocational College), General Manager of Master Foods, IMC Chairman Hasbanullah, IMC member Kachkol Khattak, faculty members, and other dignitaries, all of whom appreciated the joint initiative promoting renewable energy and skill development in the region.
