Islamabad (Faisal Waqas): The Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology, Peshawar, successfully hosted the 4th Euro-Pak International Conference on Sports Sciences & Education (EPICSSPE) in Islamabad. Held under the theme “Propelling Global Advancement in Sports Science and Education as a Way Forward”, the hybrid conference aimed to foster international collaboration and innovation in sports sciences and education.
Organized in partnership with the International Network of Sport and Health Science (INSHS) and other institutions, the event brought together a distinguished panel of 10 international keynote speakers and over 100 national experts. Researchers were invited to submit their work, with accepted studies slated for publication in Sarhad University’s THE SPARK journal, a respected publication in sports sciences and physical education.
The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Salim Rehman, Vice Chancellor of Sarhad University, alongside Dr. Mukhtar ul Haq, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Representatives from major institutions, including the University of Sargodha, Gomal University, The University of Haripur, and Abdul Wali Khan University, as well as key organizations like the Pakistan Sports Board and Directorate General of Sports KP, also participated.
Momina Mahiro Gondal lauded the efforts of Abdul Waheed Mughal and his team in advancing the field of sports science and education. She emphasized the global recognition of Pakistan’s contributions to the discipline. The event also celebrated achievements in sports with awards presented to legends, inspiring new energy and dedication among participants.
The conference highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to drive advancements in sports sciences and education, showcasing Pakistan’s growing role in global discussions on the subject.
