Islamabad (Agencies): Saudi Arabia has gifted 100 tons of dates to Pakistan, underscoring the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two nations. The handover ceremony took place on Thursday at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad.
Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki and Abdullah Al-Baqami, Director of King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Centre (KSrelief), formally presented the consignment to Brigadier Alamgeer Ayub, Director General Military Wing.
The generous gift, part of Saudi Arabia’s annual tradition, reflects the commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to supporting Pakistan. Brigadier Ayub expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, highlighting the enduring partnership and mutual respect shared by the two countries.
“This noble act of solidarity not only strengthens our ties but also reflects the profound relationship our nations cherish,” Brigadier Ayub remarked during the ceremony.
