Peshawar (Khyber Mail): The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar commemorated Youm-e-Tashakur today, paying tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan for their swift and resolute response to recent Indian aggression and celebrating the success of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos.

The event was marked by a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony, led by Dr. Sadiq Khattak, Vice Chancellor of UET Peshawar, and attended by faculty members, students, and staff. In his address, Dr. Khattak lauded the armed forces, the Government of Pakistan, and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their unwavering commitment, courage, and sacrifices in ensuring the nation’s security.

He emphasized that the success of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos reflects the resolve and professionalism of Pakistan’s military in safeguarding peace and stability. Dr. Khattak also extended heartfelt gratitude to the families of the Shuhadaa, recognizing their sacrifices for the country’s security. He urged students and faculty to remain united and committed to national development and nation-building.

The observance continued with a Youm-e-Tashakur Walk on campus, where participants marched while chanting patriotic slogans, including “Nara-e-Takbeer,” “Pakistan Zindabad,” and “Solidarity with Kashmir.” The event highlighted a deep sense of national pride and unity, reinforcing UET Peshawar’s solidarity with the armed forces and its shared commitment to patriotism.

The ceremony served as a powerful expression of national cohesion, with students and faculty members reaffirming their dedication to Pakistan’s strength and prosperity.
