Islamabad (Adnan Hameed): The Uzbekistan Embassy, in collaboration with Centaurus Mall, has launched a three-day “Made in Uzbekistan” Food Expo, bringing the finest Uzbek food products to the people of Pakistan. This exclusive event, showcasing high-quality export products, features 50 leading Uzbek exporters presenting a diverse selection of more than 50 premium products, including dried fruits, vegetables, food, drinks, chocolates and processed products offering Pakistani consumers a taste of authentic Uzbek flavors. The expo is open to the public until March 17, 2025.



The expo was officially inaugurated by Alisher Tukhtayev, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, along with a large number of diplomats and Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO of The Centaurus Group. Nasir M. Qureshi, President of ICCI was also present at the prestigious gathering.
Speaking at the occasion, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan emphasized the importance of such exhibitions in strengthening international business ties and encouraging foreign investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan. He noted that expos like these help local businesses connect with global distributors, buyers, and business partners, paving the way for trade expansion. He assured that The Centaurus Mall will continue to provide a platform for international brands to introduce their products to the Pakistani market, fostering mutual economic growth.
Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev expressed his gratitude to Centaurus Mall for organizing a high-standard event that enhances bilateral trade and diplomatic ties between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. He emphasized that such collaborations open doors for trade partnerships and investment prospects, benefiting both nations.
The representatives of the Uzbek delegation, including Dora Atadjanova, Karina Sharipova, Akmalkhon Abdullaev, Feruz Toshkulov, and Javokhir Makhmudov, expressed their excitement about selling and promoting their products in Pakistan. They also shared their hope of finding more opportunities and establishing business connections in the Pakistani market while speaking to our correspondent.
With a vision to enhance economic cooperation, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Government of Uzbekistan, has set a goal to increase bilateral trade to $2 billion. The event aligns with ongoing efforts to accelerate trade relations, ensuring rapid growth in economic collaboration and mutual investment opportunities.
