Rawalpindi (Staff Report): The Pakistan Army has announced the promotion of 30 officers from the rank of Brigadier to Major General under the SB 1 promotion category. These promotions reflect the exceptional skills, professionalism, and dedication of these officers in serving the nation.

Among the promoted officers are five from the Armoured Corps (AC), including Brigadier Shahzad Khan, Brigadier Zulifqar Bhatti, Brigadier Abubakar, Brigadier Ali Iqbal, and Brigadier Kamran Saleem. Four officers from the Artillery (Arty) branch have also been promoted, namely Brigadier Imran Arif, Brigadier Yasir Nawaz, Brigadier Sajid Ameen, and Brigadier Shamraiz.

Additionally, Brigadier Kamran has been promoted from the Air Defence (AD) branch. In the Infantry (Inf) branch, twelve officers have been promoted, including Brigadier Anjum Riaz from the Northern Light Infantry (NLI), Brigadier Inthikhab from Punjab, Brigadier Shahid Amir Afsar from Punjab, Brigadier Nisar Ul Haq from Frontier Force (FF), Brigadier Jawad Riaz from Balochistan, Brigadier Waseem Haider from Balochistan, Brigadier Naik nam Baig from Punjab, Brigadier Umer Farid from Punjab, Brigadier Imran Khan Babar from Sindh, Brigadier Jawad Tariq from FF, Brigadier Mazhar Nazir from FF, and Brigadier Atif bin Akram from Punjab.

However, no promotions were announced from the Ordnance (Ord), Army Service Corps (ASC), or Corps of Military Intelligence (CMI) branches. In the Health Services (HCA) branch, two officers were promoted: Brigadier Sibtain Rafique and Brigadier Muhammad Fiaz Malik, both from the General Duty Medical Officer category.

Four officers from the Army Medical Corps (AMC) were also promoted. They are Brigadier Sohail Ilyas (Surgical Specialist), Brigadier Syed Mukarram Hussain (Surgical Specialist), Brigadier Fuad Siddique (Medical Specialist), and Brigadier Zeeshan Ahmed (Pediatrician).

These promotions recognize the exceptional contributions and leadership demonstrated by the officers throughout their careers. The Pakistan Army commends their commitment to the nation and wishes them continued success in their new roles as Major Generals.
