Rawalpindi (Khyber Mail): The Pakistan Army has announced significant transfers and postings of senior commanders as part of its routine organizational adjustments. The promotions and assignments include changes in key positions to strengthen the military’s leadership structure.

The following announcements were made:

  • Major General Syed Imdad Hussian Shah: Promoted to Lt. Gen and posted as the Commander
    of 30 Corps.
  • Major General Shakirullah Ullah Khan Khattak: Promoted to Lt. Gen and posted as Chairman of Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) Taxila.
  • Major General Awais Dastgeer: Promoted to Lt. Gen and appointed as the Chief of General Staff (CGS).
  • Lt. General Rahat Naseem: Designated as the Commander of 12 Corps.
  • Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor: Posted as President of the National Defence University (NDU).
  • Major General M. Aqeel: Promoted to Lt. Gen and assigned to the Inspectorate General of Communications and Information Technology (IGC&IT).
  • Lieutenant General Tahir Hameed: Posted as the Chairman of the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF).

These changes reflect the commitment of the Pakistan Army to ensuring a dynamic and effective command structure, aligning its leadership with the evolving challenges and requirements.
