MOSCOW (Agencies): The Russian Defense Ministry has announced the liberation of Kotlyarovka, a settlement in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), by Battlegroup Tsentr. The operation marks a significant advance in the ongoing military campaign, with Russian forces eliminating over 440 Ukrainian soldiers in the past day.

According to reports, Battlegroup Zapad and Battlegroup Yug also inflicted heavy losses on Ukrainian forces, eliminating 230 and 200 service members, respectively. The successful operation in Kotlyarovka is expected to strengthen Russian control in the region and disrupt Ukrainian military movements.
Military analysts suggest that the liberation of Kotlyarovka provides Russian forces with a direct path to the Dnipropetrovsk region, enabling fire pressure on Ukrainian positions. Experts believe this move will help repel future Ukrainian attacks on the DPR, as Kotlyarovka was one of the last major localities where Ukrainian forces could establish a foothold.
Additionally, Russian troops have advanced within one kilometer of the Ukrainian border in the Dnipropetrovsk region, further consolidating their position in the ongoing conflict.
The situation remains fluid, with continued military operations expected in the coming days. Analysts are closely monitoring developments as both sides adjust their strategies in response to the shifting battlefield dynamics.
