SEVASTOPOL (Agencies): An attempted attack on Sevastopol, the home of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, by Ukrainian aerial and seaborne drones, has been repelled, according to the city’s top official, Mikhail Razvozhayev.
Razvozhayev stated that one UAV was shot down over the water, while five others were disabled through signal-jamming. Additionally, two seaborne drones were destroyed as they approached the port.
Describing the attack as “massive and prolonged,” Razvozhayev assured that no damage was caused to the ships or coastal sites.
Since Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine began in February 2022, the base and other locations in Crimea have frequently been targeted.
Crimea Governor Sergey Aksyonov previously reported that on June 15, nine Ukrainian drones were either shot down or disabled by air defenses.
