ISLAMABAD (Agencies): The government announced a reduction in petrol prices by Rs8 per litre for the upcoming fortnight.

The Finance Division issued a notification stating that the price cut, which begins January 16, was recommended by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.

The revised ex-depot price of petrol is now Rs259.34 per litre, down from the previous rate of Rs267.34 per litre. However, the prices of high-speed diesel, light-diesel oil, and kerosene oil remain unchanged.
