PESHAWAR (Agencies): A team consisting of experts from the Ministry of Health Islamabad on Sunday visited Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Hospital Peshawar where they made a detailed inspection of various departments and provided safe blood transfusion and welfare services to Thalassemia and hemophilia patients through modern machinery, equipment.

The delegation included Dr. Usman Haider, Technical Blood Bank Expert at Ministry of Health Islamabad, Technical Blood Bank Expert Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Khan, Dr. Noor Saba, Director RBC Peshawar and two female psychologists.

On this occasion, Dr. Tariq Khan, Medical Director of Hamza Foundation, Vice Chairman Hamza Ejaz gave a detailed briefing to the delegation. They visited various departments of the institution and also checked the digital and latest laboratory, blood bank and other equipment and records.

He expressed satisfaction over the provision of facilities including safe blood transfusion to 1,487 thalassemia and hemophilia patients registered under international SOPs and appreciated the welfare services and supply of blood and products of the institution.

The delegation was informed that these services are provided free of cost to the patients. He also assured full cooperation with the institution.
