KARACHI (Agencies): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all banks and financial institutions will be observing a holiday on Monday and will not be open for public dealing.
According to an SBP press release issued on Friday, “The State Bank of Pakistan will not be open for public dealing on Monday, January 01, 2024, which will be observed as a bank holiday.”
Consequently, all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) will also remain closed for public dealing on this bank holiday. However, it should be noted that all employees of the banks, DFIs, and MFBs are expected to report to work as usual, as per the SBP’s announcement.
