PESHAWAR (Khyber Mail) The Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar (IMSciences) hosted the European Union (EU) Roadshow 2024 on Tuesday. The event, organized by the Office of Academic Linkages and Exchange Programmes (ALEP), was a vibrant celebration of the enduring partnership between the EU and Pakistan.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Riina Kionka, EU Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Jeroen Willems, Head of Cooperation, EU, Mr. Sebastien, Head of Cooperation, German Embassy, Mr. Paolo Londero, First Secretary and Erasmus Scholarship Focal Person at the EU Delegation, and Mr. Ehtisham Adil, Governance Advisor.
Prof. Dr. Usman Ghani, Director, IMSciences, and Mr. Sikandar Tangi, Coordinator ALEP, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests. In her address, EU Ambassador Dr. Riina Kionka underscored the longstanding cooperation between the EU and Pakistan, emphasizing the significance of cultural diversity and academic collaboration.
The event featured an insightful Erasmus+ Scholarship session led by Mr. Paolo Londero, providing a comprehensive overview of the program’s structure and its significance for Pakistani students. A video reel competition allowed students to showcase their creativity, with winners receiving certificates from the ambassador for their outstanding contributions.
The EU Roadshow 2024 underscores the longstanding partnership between the EU and Pakistan, spanning over six decades of mutual cooperation. Themed around sustainability and educational exchange, the event symbolized their long-lasting commitment to partnership and cooperation.
