PESHAWAR (Khyber Mail): Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Pakistan Country Director, Mr. Felix Kolbitz, and Program Advisor Sidra Saeed recently visited the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication at the University of Peshawar. Their warm reception by Chairman Prof. Dr. Faizullah Jan and faculty members marked the beginning of discussions on potential collaborations that would benefit students, teachers, and the university.
During the visit, the FES delegation toured the Campus Radio Station, which had received studio equipment from FES two decades ago. They also explored the podcast studio, classrooms, and library facilities. The meeting concluded with plans for future joint initiatives.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan emphasized the strong educational and health partnerships between Pakistan and Germany. Meanwhile, Chairman Jan expressed gratitude for the German Foundation’s ongoing support of the JMC department, including capacity-building workshops for journalists—a testament to their long-term collaboration.
