PESHAWAR (Khyber Mail): The Career Development Center (CDC) at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) welcomed officials from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for a special session on career opportunities within the bank.
Mr. Mudassir Ali, Mr. Nabeel Akhtar, and Ms. Namia Naeem from SBP visited IMSciences and engaged with final-year students majoring in Finance, Data Sciences, Economics, and Management Sciences. The discussion revolved around various internship and job opportunities at SBP and strategies to excel in these roles.
The speakers provided insights into life at SBP, introduced various departments, and discussed the nature of work within them. This gave the students a comprehensive understanding of the workings of the bank and the potential career paths available to them.
Dr. Adnan, Industry Chair of the Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF), presented a souvenir shield to Ms. Namia Naeem at the end of the session. This was followed by a Q&A session, providing students with the opportunity to interact directly with the SBP officials and gain further insights into the bank’s operations and career prospects.
The event was a significant step towards bridging the gap between academia and industry, providing students with valuable exposure to real-world career opportunities.
